Hear New Sound: Foo Fighters' Wasting Light

Foo Fighters are a band that needs no introduction. After countless hits over the past two decades, the Seattle-centric alt-rockers are back with a seventh studio album, Wasting Light. This high-octane effort was produced by Butch Vig, the man who helped put lead man, Dave Grohl, on the map during his days drumming for Nirvana on Nevermind, and mixed by Alan Moulder, whom you may recall just worked on the excellent new Pains of Being Pure at Heart album. Speaking of Nirvana, Wasting Light also boasts appearances from Grohl's former bandmate, Kris Novoselic as well as Hüsker Dü's Bob Mould. There's sure to be a few more modern rock chart toppers in here for the Foos to add to their already-impressive collection of hits....
