Hear New Sound: Drake's "The Real Her" (feat. Lil' Wayne)

It was just a week ago that Drake unveiled "Make Me Proud," a collaboration with fellow Young Money member, Nicki Minaj, off his highly anticipated sophomore effort, Take Care. On the heels of that hot-steppin' beat, Drizzy heats up the stereo by letting his foot off the gas with the help of Noah Shebib's sleek production and mentor / Mr. Young Money himself, Lil' Wayne on "The Real Her." It's a slowburner of a sexed-up R&B song elegantly transfixed by a soft-keyed piano loop and Drake's effervescent breathiness. Thus far, our previews off Take Care to date have been built mostly around the Toronto hip-hopper's quick-talking rhyme skills, but "The Real Her" has the superstar winning the ladies over as a smooth-singing seductor. Listen carefully, and you'll pick up on the fact that those "Houstatlantavegas" girls Drizzy referred to on his breakthrough So Far Gone mixtape make their reappearance here on "The Real Her." I guess all other big cities just haven't been able to get a hold of Drake's undivided attention come the weekend...
