Hear New Sound: Parts & Labor's "No Nostalgia"

It was just a few months ago that AwkwardSound had Constant Future on regular rotation, but when AS puts together it's annual In Memoriam of bands and musicians we lost in 2011, Parts & Labor will surely be getting the spotlight treatment. After 10 years, 5 incredible albums and countless tours that spanned the globe, the influential Brooklyn-based experimental noise rock trio will be going on an "indefinite hiatus" (which is basically today's polite way of saying they're breaking up, but don't get upset at them when they reform in a few years, right?) to concentrate on their respected solo projects. Before their time together officially ends, though, Dan Friel, B.J. Warshaw and Joe Wong will be celebrating their diamond anniversary with a series of tour dates in NYC alongside their closest friends from the Brooklyn DIY scene they helped cultivate including Oneida and Pterodactyl. To capstone this bittersweet news, Parts & Labor have released the aptly-titled unreleased track "No Nostalgia" to their fans, although it's hard to avoid doing that with this news...
