Hear New Sound: Thursday's "No Answers" (Big Black Delta Remix)

Post-hardcore mainstays, Thursday are having a tremendous year that has put them back on top of their game thanks to the release of their recommended sixth full-length effort, No Devolución. Before 2011 ends, the New Jersey sextet are celebrating with a victory lap by heading out on tour, taking along with them a stacked bill of awesome opening acts (Touché Amoré, Screaming Females and Make Do and Mend just to name a few.) To coincide with the spreading of their own little post-hardcore holiday cheer, Thursday's offering up a remix of "No Answers," one of the many solid tracks off No Devolución. Shape-shifted and contorted into a web of synth-driven electronica by Big Black Delta (a.k.a. Jonathan Bates of Los Angeles lo-fi indie act, Mellowdrone) it's very intriguing in that -- despite Thursday still very much being a loud, heavy listen -- the remix further reinforces claims by frontman Geoff Rickly that No Devolución includes an edgy undertone inspired by dark alternative innovators such as The Cure and Portishead. Rephrase the question below...
