Hear New Sound: SHARKS' "Arcane Effigies"

It's taken them some time to assemble a proper full-length, but on March 20th, UK punk rockers SHARKS will finally ravage the open seas of the music world as they cast off their debut album No Gods on Rise Records. These young English blokes have been on AwkwardSound's radar for a couple of years now since releasing their 25 Best Albums listmaker Show of Hands EP back in 2010, spending the better part of 2011 breaking North America as part of the Warped the AP Tours, looking for a new bassist (whose spot has now officially been filled) and hunkering down in the studio last autumn with veteran punk and hardcore producer Brian McTernen (Cave In, Converge, Hot Water Music.) "Arcane Effigies" is the first track SHARKS are making available off of No Gods. If it's any representation of the album as a whole, look for SHARKS to embellish their strength in tunefulness on their debut, punctuated by less gruff from frontman James Mattock. Someone send this single to Springsteen while I get confirmation from the ghost of Joe Strummer that he's nodding in approval...
