LIVESound: Chairlift Play "Ghost Tonight" for Black Cab Sessions

Experimental synth-poppers Chairlift will be releasing their sophomore follow-up Something on January 24th via Columbia Records. Early buzz on the new effort seems to have grown in recent weeks, given a strong string of satisfying previews in "Amanaemonesia," "Sidewalk Safari" and the latest, "Met Before." Now Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly are throwing out one more piece of the Something puzzle your way -- but with a slight twist to the listening process. The two Brooklynites recently stepped inside a black cab as part of the London-based Black Cab Sessions where they performed a new track entitled "Ghost Tonight." Given that there probably weren't any electrical outlets located inside the classic taxi mobile during the time of filming, the duo made great use of finger-snaps, a wireless keyboard and an acoustic six-string. Really though, it's Polachek's heavenly voice that helps "Ghost Tonight" take flight through the UK streets in this moving live outtake..
