LIVESound: Nada Surf Play "Teenage Dreams" for This Is Fake DIY

Veteran indie pop-rockers Nada Surf are celebrating the arrival of their latest and perhaps most grown-up sounding effort to date, The Stars Are Indifferent to Astronomy, out now on Barsuk Records. A few weeks ago, frontman Matthew Caws took some time during the Brooklyn trio's recent tour through Europe to record a stripped-down acoustic session for This Is Fake DIY. The session -- quietly taking place just outside London's Spitalfields Market and putting a whole new spin on the band's penchant for intimate listening scenarios -- includes The Stars...' standout "Teenage Dreams." Watch it play out below and head over to DIY's Sessions page for the rest of the set, which includes another fresh track in "Looking Through." There's something to be said about the way Caws' golden locks now sport a touch of grey that puts their seventh studio LP's underlying themes on adulthood into perspective...
