Hear New Sound: Beach Fossils' "Alison" (Slowdive Cover)

Touché, Smugglers Way. Days after Domino Records and their subsidiary imprint Ribbon Music announced plans to release a brand new Record Store Day-exclusive FlexiZine featuring an unreleased track by lo-fi indie pop act Real Estate, fledgling quarterly zine AdHoc (who've been picking up support for their project over the past few months via a Kickstarter campaign) are counteracting with a similar offering of their own. For their exclusive digital compilation, they've gotten like-minded tri-state area sunshine pop quartet Beach Fossils to cover "Alison," originally penned by highly influential '90s shoegaze act Slowdive. The song provides a dreamy change of pace for the Brooklyn quartet who are currently in a state of aggressive evolution as they approach their sophomore LP. Get lost with Beach Fossils' "Alison" below, and if you like what you hear, head over to AdHoc's Kickstarter page where several donation options can make it yours to own...
