Hear New Sound: Ty Segall Band's "Swag" / "I Bought My Eyes"

Noticing a trend here in recent posts? It seems that musicians with their hearts in the garage just can't seem to sit still. Ty Segall's plight to amass an ongoing collection of new material was among the first whose frequent recording habits was chronicled here last year in a BUZZSound profile and in 2012, he's yet to give his guitar the day off. On top of a recently released collaboration with experimental jammer White Fence, Segall has plans to put out a new LP with his touring band (made up of fellow lo-fi enthusiasts Mikal Cronin, Charlie Moothart and Emily Rose Epstein) under the guise of Ty Segall Band. Aaaaand a new solo effort for good measure. The former version of the Laguna Beach native's musical persona has a new track titled "Swag," set to appear on the San Fran-centric vinyl compilation In a Cloud II which comes out July 17th through Secret Seven. For a tougher, heavier take on the band version of Ty, check out "I Bought My Eyes," which appears on their upcoming LP Slaughterhouse (arriving July 26th via In the Red.) By the time this post has been published, Ty will have thrown up something new on the Internet for the blogosphere to catch up with...
