Hear New Sound: ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead's "Up to Infinity"

...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead have been consistently productive since freeing themselves from the shackles of Interscope in 2007, and greatly at that. Last year's excellent return to form Tao of the Dead (which was named to AS' Best Albums of 2012) celebrated the best that the Austin rockers has had to and will offer as they trudge along under their rules only, and on October 23rd, they'll do so once again with their 8th LP, Lost Songs, due out on their imprint Richter Scale, distributed globally via Superball Music. Frontman Conrad Keely told the German website Vision that the music "was inspired by the apathy to real world events that has plagued the independent music scene now for over a decade." ...Trail of Dead confront the issue head on with the first listen "Up to Infinity," a hellaciously high-octane track that sonically illustrates the current Syrian civil war with bleeding amps and a web of noisy turmoil. It's also dedicated to the imprisoned members of Russian feminist punk band Pussy Riot. Head below to hear "Up to Infinity"...
