LIVESound: Life Size Maps Play 171 Lombardy

Noise-pop trio Life Size Maps have easily become one of AS' favorite BUZZSounds to cover over the past year thanks to two solid EPs in Weird Luck and their latest, Excavate, which have seen Mike McKeever roll with the punches despite line-up changes and evolve sonically by great measures, as well as how and the band has successfully adapted an earnest DIY attitude that's made them one of Brooklyn's hardest-working live acts. You've heard studio cuts here on AS by the band, and now you can get a glimpse at Life Size Maps in action below with two clips filmed over the weekend by fellow BK photographer Timothy Murray from their show at 171 Lombardy, including Excavate's high-octane opener "Abstract Speed." Look for Life Size Maps to defend their unofficial title of the hardest working band at CMJ later this October.
