Hear New Sound: Gun Outfit's "Lau Blues"

Next Tuesday marks the return of great guitar ‘n bones indie rockers Gun Outfit when they release their third LP, Hard Coming Down on Post Present Medium, the label ran by No Age’s Dean Spunt. As you can tell from the new promo picture above, the Olympia-based trio has expanded into a quartet since their last effort, 2010's Possession Sound, by adding bassist Anton Seder to their set up (according to the press release, "They think they are playing folk music because rock is folk music now." Take that, Mr. Mumford and your ridiculous-looking illegitimate sons!) Back in February, we heard the LP's first preview, the rootsy punk spirals of "Flyin' Low, Maria,", and now we have the latest, "Lau Blues," a hollowed out listen where newly inducted Seder's deep plowing rhythmic contributions accentuate the quiet bellowing of Dylan Sharp's mazy vocals. Get lost in Gun Outfit's hues below...
