There are a whole lot of accordions out and about in the world, all of them claiming to offer something that the other accordion doesn’t. The manufacturers are at fault for that, for there are many of them, and all of them want an identity in this oversaturated market. This is why whenever I encounter an accordion that has an identity, has an interesting sound, and is not the most obvious choice, I like to bring it to the attention of my audience. I mean take a closer look at the Fever Piano Accordion 25 Keys 12 Bass and you will understand why I am so insistent on talking about certain accordions, rather than others.
The design of the Fever Piano Accordion 25 Keys 12 Bass is something you would expect out of a traditional accordion manufacturer. It is simple at its more basic, providing the musician with a handsome but classical-looking instrument that will stand out among all the others because it looks so simple. The black coloring of that accordion, with reflective sides allows it to look both neutral and intriguing at the same time. The gold-colored inlays, with different colored point, sprinkled like gems across the two bodies of the accordion make it look like something out of an ancient fairy tale about accordions if there are any of course.
The bellows of the accordion are a mix of black and white, with a traditional Italian diamond design of red, gold and white in the center for additional flair. The bellows is made out of 16 fold in size, for even more impressive amplification, with sheepskin sides to enhance the sturdiness of the instrument. The body of the accordion is made out of a more traditional wooden material, which while making the accordion heavy, also makes it handsome and incredibly long-lived. The extra air hole located on the side of the body provides for faster and more comfortable playing. The accordion comes in a whole range of different colors so that everyone has a chance to get what they might be looking for.
The Fever Piano Accordion comes with, as is implied in the title of this review, 25 piano keys and 12 bass keys. The keys are sturdy, and pearlescent made, giving them a nice and long life without any issues with operation. The keys are sufficient for detailed control and a wide tonal range.
The instrument comes with a standard reed distribution so that the accordion has the capability to sound incredibly clean and beautiful. The reeds might have some issues in the long-term future, but they work well enough for a beginner to learn the instrument and get better at it.
Fever Accordion Sound
The Fever Piano Accordion has an incredibly detailed sound that is highly enjoyable. The high fold number in the bellows of the accordion allows for longer sustained notes and sounds, while also giving space to the player for highly expressive tonal diversions. The high number of keys permits great control over the range of the instrument, but the reeds are the start of the show. They produce a sound that is enjoyable, clean and very sophisticated. Great stuff!
If you ever wanted an affordable accordion that has a very traditional look, you have yourself a great option. This little beast has great sound, is affordable, and comes with a slew of useful items for first time buyers.
