This guy, may he have peace wherever he is, is a heavy rock and metal legend. You don’t like Victor or Flea, and you want more distortion and sustain, heavier, so you go to Lemmy. This man did not play the bass guitar as you would expect. He picked chords just as much as he picks single strings at a time. He believed that the true energy of the bass guitar lies within playing it to produce as much energy as possible. Which is why when you listen to him play you won’t realize that his bass is the lead guitar.
Conclusion
It was way back when I was just getting into my sophomore year in high school that I really started getting into music. It was at this time that I had the idea to start a band for the first time. Strange I know but we all develop at our own pace. The only reason this band ever actually worked out was that I met the amazing kid with the dream to be the greatest bass player who ever lived. This kid helped me get together a band, with my sister. This kid helped me learn the guitar better and this kid helped me gain the confidence I lacked to perform in front of people. Yes the people were kids my age, who I will tell you are usually the worst critics (seriously), and the gigs were performed either at school events or by my garage. This kid was the reason we had one original song that we (unfortunately) never recorded, the song that was popular among the kids our age. He was the reason I had as much fun as I did being a teenager. He was a year younger than me, yet he knew what he wanted and he knew how to get it. Today the kid is already a man and he is a part of a band in Europe, travelling, playing gigs, and, potentially, about to be famous as it gets.
