Build
Seagull S6 Original Acoustic Guitar is a modified dreadnought model that reduces boominess which is a great bonus if you are planning on recording or playing shows. It also features solid cedar top that provides the durability and volume to this guitar. Seagull tops are all pressure tested to make sure that they are durable and stable enough to provide good vibration.
It also allows for thinner bracing. The back and sides are made from 3-layer wild cherry which is a perfect fit for this guitar because it gives it more warmth and a better tone and the fingerboard, as well as the bridge, are rosewood. The integrated Set Neck which is made of maple (very bright sound) on S6 ensures more stability and playability while also diminishing twisting and warping.
Hardware
This model includes Godin Quantum IT electronics with a built-in tuner as well as a narrow headstock that gives you a straight string pull, and better tuning. This model also features compensated saddle and tusq nut which is very consistent and needs less maintenance and compensated saddle. The quality of manufacturing is evident in the sound of this guitar. Solid cedar and wild cherry back and sides create deep and rich sound that is perfect right out of the box and as most of you know good quality tonewood is the key to your guitar’s sound getting better and better with time. Rich and deep sound as well as great playability are all the reasons you will need (not that there are not any other) to consider this baby as your first, second, or tenth guitar.
