There is a time in every guitarist’s life when they understand that they have to take more control over their life. I don’t know about you but when I made that decision, the first thing I looked at was the pile of pedals in the corner of my practice room. I used to place them in the case and carry them around that way, and leave the ones I wouldn’t use at home. You can guess how limited my options would be during the gig, but since I planned everything beforehand, I still managed to play some interesting pieces.

As I looked at that pile I realized that I was tired of making a choice before every performance. It was a sort of enlightenment: I thought that the only way to develop myself even further was to invest in something that would allow me to keep my beloved stompboxes at my disposal regardless of my location. That’s when I went on a journey of researching the market for available pedalboards.

After a while, I came across a large G-Tour Pedalboard-LGW from Gator Cases – it had the perfect size for all my pedals and seemed quite fancy. Then I dug deep into details and found out that it had some really interesting features. If you’re ready to invest in a pedalboard that will last you through countless lifetimes, then keep on reading!

Gator G TOUR Features

I can’t help myself and skip the appearance of G-Tour Pedalboard-LGW. I do my best to abstain from discussing this feature, but look at this one, how can you overcome the urge? This beast comes in a silver case and is complimented with red details. They add even more character and set this piece apart. It has wheels that will make it easier to transport – especially if you occupy the whole space and fill it with all the pedals you own. It has rubber handles that make transportation even easier.

But the most important feature of the case is its durability. It consists of plywood fabrication and aluminum edging to make sure that the interior won’t be damaged no matter what. G-Tour Pedalboard-LGW also has extra protection on the corners, as well as retractable tow-handle and inline wheels. The interior is covered with pro-grade shock-absorbing EVA foam, meaning that your pedals will still remain safe even if the exterior gets hit by a cab.

It has hardware that can be locked so that everything stays secure inside the box. It has enough space to store your cables underneath the pedalboard itself. It is clear as day that this thing is extremely convenient for gigging musicians.

When it comes to the pedalboard itself, it measures 24″ x 11″ i.e. it’s large enough to fit up to 12 standard-sized stompboxes, including longer ones (like volumes or wahs). They can be secured on the surface with 3M Dual Lock hook and loop fasteners – you can forget about that annoying Velcro. The pedalboard is removable from the case, meaning that you don’t have to mount such a huge thing on the stage. Keep in mind that you can’t wire underneath this one, because there’s hardly any space between the pedalboard and floor.

At this price tag some of you might expect some cables or electronics, however, Gator Cases Decided to concentrate on protection and security and invested their effort and attention in that region. And in my personal opinion, those who have seen how their pedalboards cracked open in the back of the van, won’t have any complaints about such an attitude.

Conclusion

What else can I say? Gator Cases G-Tour Pedalboard-LGW is one of the best pedalboards out there. It is well-protected, to the point where you’d have heard time damaging it even intentionally. The up-to-date technology of 3M Dual Lock fasteners saves you a lot of headaches since Velcro can be such a huge pain in the neck. Plus, they are more secure and will make sure your pedals don’t fly around on stage. Though it isn’t cheap, once you’ve gathered a pedal collection that you cherish, it’s worth investing in such a great pedalboard. I don’t think you can go wrong with a pedalboard and especially with G-Tour Pedalboard-LGW. Good luck!
